We provide honest, practical, independent strategic and financial advice, utilising the skills of the Tanarra investment team as well as a network of highly qualified volunteer professionals, to help charities:

• Clarify mission and strategy

• Sharpen business models

• Access first-class financial modelling tools for budgeting and business planning

• Organise for cost-effective success

• Get the right mix of skills and commitment around the board table

• Develop an optimal and sustainable funding model

• Develop a sound (but not suffocating) risk management culture

We focus on helping forward thinking small to medium charities and social enterprises in 5 key focus areas:

• Rural and regional advancement

• Youth

• Protection of our environment

• Housing for low-income Australians

• Under-employed Australians

We also support projects and campaigns which have a sector wide positve impact e.g. Board Health Check, What makes a great Charity etc.

What we won’t do is:

• Raise money for charities or be an introductory service to potential donors or investors

• Provide legal advice

• Advise charities on how to grow market share against others in essentially a zero-sum game in their sector. We want to work with charities that are committed to growing the pie or value in their sector, either by increasing overall revenues, building something entrepreneurial and innovative, or reducing sector costs

The commercial expertise we provide is usually only available to the retail and institutional asset investment sector,

We are not afraid to give frank advice or ask the tough questions, regardless of how emotive the charity is,
